UAE Corporate Tax Return Deadline is September 30, 2026 — Is Your Business Ready?
If your UAE company’s financial year ended on December 31, 2025, you have one critical date burned into your calendar: September 30, 2026.
That is the deadline for both your UAE Corporate Tax return filing and your tax payment on EmaraTax. Miss it, and the Federal Tax Authority’s penalty regime kicks in immediately.
What Exactly Is Due on September 30, 2026?
Two things — not one:
- Your Corporate Tax Return — filed via EmaraTax, declaring your taxable income, deductions, and tax liability for the period ending December 31, 2025
- Your Tax Payment — the actual Corporate Tax liability settled via the EmaraTax portal
Both are due on the same day. Filing without paying, or paying without filing, both attract penalties.
Who Does This Apply To?
Any UAE-resident business with a financial year ending December 31, 2025 — which is the majority of UAE-incorporated companies. This includes:
- Mainland UAE companies (LLC, sole establishments)
- Free zone entities unless they qualify as a Qualifying Free Zone Person (QFZP)
- Foreign companies with a UAE permanent establishment
Small Business Relief — Last Chance for 2025
If your revenue was AED 3 million or below in the tax period ending December 31, 2025, you may be eligible to elect for Small Business Relief — effectively reducing your Corporate Tax liability to zero for that period.
But here is the catch: you must actively elect for it on your CT return. It is not automatic. If your accountant files without electing it and your revenue qualifies, you lose the relief for that period.
What Happens If You Miss September 30?
The FTA penalty structure is not forgiving:
- AED 10,000 for late filing of the Corporate Tax return
- Monthly penalties on unpaid tax liability
- Additional penalties for failure to maintain proper financial records
With 104 days remaining as of today, this is your comfortable planning window — not a reason to delay.
